Yharon, Dragon of Rebirth is a boss which can be fought as soon as the Lunatic Cultist and The Dragonfolly are defeated, but is intended to be fought after The Devourer of Gods. Defeating Yharon is essential to progression, as he grants access to Auric Bars, which are needed to craft the Auric Quantum Cooling Cell and Altar of the Accursed as well as an array of powerful equipment.

Spawn
Yharon does not spawn on his own, and requires the player to summon him by using the Blessed Phoenix Egg.
Behaviour
When summoned, Yharon uses a unique spawn animation; he is invulnerable during this.
- The camera pans to Yharon, having been summoned to the far left or far right of the player.
- Moments later, sparkles start to form as Yharon glows reddish-white around himself.
- After a few seconds have passed, Yharon roars to the player, causing a flash of motion blur and visible yellow shockwave.
- The camera quickly pans back to the player, with Yharon beginning his attacks shortly afterwards.

In its first phase, Yharon performs attacks from the following pool:
Dragon Charge
- Yharon dashes a large distance towards/past the player then decelerate afterwards.
Fast Dragon Charge
- Yharon dashes a fixed distance towards the player.
- When it is being prepared during a roar, Yharon shortly readjusts to match the dash angle.
Flare Tornadoes
- Yharon summons two rings that follow the player and each deploy a Flare Tornado upon reaching the player.
- The Flare Tornadoes do not deal damage for a short amount of time after deployment.
Dragon's Breath and Detonating Flares
- Yharon repositions diagonally above the player and dashes towards the player while breathing a cone of flame and firing multiple Detonating Flares that ascend and fall down.
- Detonating Flares are affected by gravity, do not deal damage for a short amount of time their trajectory initially lean towards the player's predicted destination as well as disappearing on tile collision.
Fireball Burst
- Yharon repositions diagonally above the player and fires a rapid barrage of Homing Flare Dusts.
- Yharon's repositioning isn't very persistent and lasts for a moment after which it only keeps turning towards the player for the barrages.
The first subphase cycles through the following attack pattern:
- Dragon Charge + Fast Dragon Charge x3 + Dragon Charge
- Flare Tornadoes + Dragon's Breath and Detonating Flares + Fast Dragon Charge
- Dragon Charge + Fast Dragon Charge x2 + Dragon Charge
- Fireball Burst + Dragon's Breath and Detonating Flares + Fast Dragon Charge
- Dragon Charge + Fast Dragon Charge x2 + Dragon Charge
- Flare Tornadoes + Fireball Burst + Fast Dragon Charge

Aftermath
- A status message appears which reads "Ancient draconic power manifests in the caverns, lacing itself through the rock.", indicating that Auric Ore has generated in the Cavern layer.
- Titanium Crates can now contain Auric Ore.
- The Bandit will begin selling Dragon Scales.
Tips
Trivia
- There is a 1/500 (0.2%) chance for Yharon's title card to read "Grand Yharon", which replaces the sound played when the lower portion appears with an extremely loud, bass-boosted version of his roar. This becomes guaranteed during April Fools.
- This easter egg is a reference to a user suggestion made on the Calamity Mod Discord server, suggesting to add an upgraded version of Yharon called "Grand Yharon" with "More hp, Visual armor, Scars, Glowing eyes, and tornado attack that follows u."
- Upon defeat, Yharon explodes into around 4000-5000 Chicken Nuggets.
